It started with one empty wall
Our founder could not find a frame worth putting his grandmother’s photograph in. Store-bought frames felt thin, and custom framing was slow and expensive. So he built one himself, in a small garage workshop.
Friends asked for more. Then neighbours. Today we still build every frame with the same question: would we hang this on our own wall?
A good frame disappears into the room and makes what is inside it matter more.

Machines help us cut accurately. People do the rest. Four steps take a plain length of timber to a finished frame.

Select the wood
We choose kiln-dried solid wood and check each length for grain, knots and warp.
- 2
Cut and join
Corners are mitred to the millimetre and joined with glue and splines for strength.
- 3
Sand and finish
Hand sanding, then stain or paint in thin coats for an even, lasting surface.

Mount and inspect
Museum-grade glass and acid-free mounts go in, then every frame is checked by hand.
